It's hard to believe that Summer is over. Where did it go? It saddens me because Summer is truly a relaxing time of the year for me. However, there is joy in my heart for with the beginning of September, our congregation resumes our normal schedule of activities. In particular, our Christian Education Program swings into high gear. I'm going to use this opportunity to outline our Christian Education Schedule. It is my prayer the EVERYONE will take full advantage of these opportunities so that all of us may continue to grow and mature in the Christian faith and life.

2007 - 2008 SCHEDULE

1. Sunday, September 9th -CHRISTIAN EDUCATION SUNDAY: Special Worship Service at 10:30 AM concentrating on what the Bible teaches concerning Christian Education for all ages. Included in the service will be the commissioning of our Sunday School, Confirmation and Daycare Staffs.
2. Tuesday, September 11th - CONFIRMATION STUDENTS AND PARENTS MEETING: All students who will be entering First Year Confirmation (All youth in Grade 5 or higher who has not begun Confirmation training) and Second Year Confirmation (All youth who have completed First Year Confirmation) are asked to meet in the Church Sanctuary at 6:30 PM. Chris Gallmann will teach First Year and Pastor will teach Second Year.
3. Sunday, September 16th - SUNDAY SCHOOL, FIRST YEAR CONFIRMATION, AND ADULT BIBLE CLASSES: These classes will resume at 9:00 AM. (The Topic of Study for our Adult Bible Class is "What Do Lutherans Believe?" Pastor will be the teacher.)
4. Tuesday, September 25th - BIBLE BREAKFAST: This class will begin at 9:30 AM. The Topic of Study is "The Book of Genesis". Pastor will teach this class.
5. Coming in October - THE BASICS OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH: This will be a seven week course which was requested by a number of Daycare parents. The class will be taught by Pastor and will be open to all. More information later.
