Since 1948

The TELCO Online Congregational News of Trinity Lutheran Church - Wellsville, NY

Since 1948

Brief Notes - This and That

Praise Be To God For His Overwhelming Blessings Of This Year's Vacation Bible School. This year we had an enrollment of 54 children with a daily average attendance of 42. The children had a great time. More importantly, they learned that Jesus is "the Way, the Truth, and the Life". It should be noted that we had numerous children from our VBS who are now registered for our Sunday School. Once again, "Praise be to God!"

Praise Be To God For Our Vacation Bible School Staff. I cannot even begin to say how faithful, dedicated, and hard working this year's VBS Staff was. They did all in their power to share the Gospel. Without these individuals using their time and talents for the Lord, we could not have had a VBS. I extend my sincere thanks to all of them and I praise God for them. Please be sure to do the same.

My Monthly Plea For Sunday Coffee Hour Volunteers: Volunteers are needed to host our Coffee Hours for selected Sundays in the months of September through December. Our Coffee Hours have been very influential in helping us grow as brothers and sisters in Christ. Hosting is not difficult. The coffee, tea, juice, and milk are already set-up. The host's task is to clean-up afterwards. You may bring snacks if you wish. Please consider being a host, especially if you never hosted one in the past. Any individual, groups of individuals, or organization can be a host. The sign-up sheet is on the church lounge table.

Concerning Telco Mailing

The Post Office has changed its method and delivery of Bulk Mail such as the TELCO. Before the changes we could mail the TELCO two days before the end of the month and most received it by the first of the next month. With the changes, the TELCO will have to be mailed at least 7 days before the end of the month so that everyone can receive it by the first of the next month. Thus we are asking that all TELCO articles be submitted to the church secretary by the 20th of each month so that it can be mailed by the 23rd in order that everyone will have it by the first of the next month.

Something To Make You Smile

Children And Bible Stories

A Sunday School teacher was teaching her class Jesus' Parable of the Good Samaritan. In vivid detail she described to the students how the man laying on the road was brutally beaten, robbed and left for dead so that they might understand how bad his situation was. She then asked her students, "If you saw this man lying on the roadside, what would you do? A thoughtful little girl broke the hushed silence by saying, "I think I'd throw up!"

Altar Guild Meeting: There will be an Altar Guild Meeting on Thursday, September 27 at 7:00 pm.
