Pastors Notes
Betty reported that the Evangelism committee has had a very busy summer so far with several more things to go. Pastor & Betty are going to Houghton College for a "Fair Day" and two fundraisers are coming up as well. Some improvements on the TELCO have been made with some other ideas forthcoming. It was also discussed that we wanted to let people know that if they wanted to just donate coffee or juice for the coffee hours instead of making anything they could do that as well. Dick Kling reported that things are right on schedule with putting up the lights in the pavilion and work on replacing some of the sidewalk will be done very soon. The complete minutes and all committee reports are available in the Church office.

There is a jar in the lounge for donations. Thank you. Anyone interested in subscribing to Lutheran Witness at a cost of $8.75/yr. should contact Marge Vossler or the church office as soon as you can. Any additions must be made with the church order. Thank you. Flowers, Flowers, Flowers! New Flower Fund - Would you
like to remember loved ones or celebrate birthdays or anniversaries by putting flowers on
the altar? Our church has arranged to have a beautiful bouquet of flowers placed on the
altar every weekend. Simply sign up on the flower chart located in the hallway by the
library and let the secretary know why you have selected that particular weekend and that
information will go into the bulletin, then make a donation to the flower fund. Suggested
amount is $15.00. If you would like to have a bouquet placed on both sides of the altar,
the cost would be $25.00. In order to provide flowers at this rate, we will be using the
same vases each time, therefore, you may take the flowers but the vase must remain here at
church. If you have any questions, please talk with Betty Wood. |
